About This Role
Are you a passionate educator who believes in mana-enhancing practice for our ākongā? Dyer Street School is looking for an enthusiastic, collaborative, and culturally responsive teacher to join our Ako iti team as we open a new roll-growth classroom starting at the beginning of Term 3, 2026.
Due to this being a role growth position, it is fixed term until the end of 2026. However, due to continued roll growth, there may be further future opportunities at our school.
This position is suitable for New Zealand-trained teachers.
Key Responsibilities
We are looking for someone with the following skills:
- experience in the junior school or an early childhood background
- experience in BSLA (Better Start Literacy Approach) and DMiC (Developing Mathematical Inquiry Communities) is advantageous
- possess strong, restorative behavioural management skills that keep the focus on learning and connection
- enjoy working closely with a supportive team to share ideas and best practices.
