Job Title: Design Technology Technician (Across Parker and DSLV Secondary Academies)

We are looking for a proactive and organised Design Technology Technician to support our thriving DT department. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in preparing resources, maintaining workshops and equipment, and helping to create engaging practical learning experiences for students. Working closely with teaching staff, you will help ensure a safe, innovative and well-resourced learning environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare, set up and clear away materials, tools, equipment and resources required for lessons and practical activities.
• Provide technical support to staff and students during practical Design Technology activities, as required.
• Organise, monitor and maintain departmental resources, materials and equipment.
• Support the maintenance of a safe working environment in accordance with Health and Safety legislation and academy policies.

Pay range:

• NJC SCP 8-12 £24,730.72 - £25,982.89
  (FTE: £27,709.00 - £29,542.00)
• Full Time (Working Hours Monday-Thursday 8am-4pm & Friday 8am - 3.30pm)
• Permanent
• Term Time only (39 weeks)

Qualifications and Skills:

• 5 GCSEs including Maths and English (grade 4-9) or equivalent.
• Understanding of health and safety requirements within practical learning environments.
• Ability to prepare and maintain materials, tools and equipment to a high standard.
• Ability to demonstrate, role model and inspire a passion for learning
