GEMS FirstPoint School is looking for an outstanding Assistant Head Teacher (Secondary) to join our accomplished secondary leadership team starting in August 2026. This position is a strategic leadership role within a large, high-quality British curriculum school, recognized as Outstanding (BSO) and Very Good (KHDA), with academic results ranking in the top 1% globally for GCSE performance. The responsibilities of this role will be tailored to align with the strengths and experiences of the chosen candidate. We are seeking a knowledgeable and proficient academic leader poised to make a significant impact on curriculum, pedagogy, and data-driven practices.
Person Specification:
- A well-informed and research-driven educator, skilled in applying evidence to practice.
- Strong understanding of curriculum and teaching methodologies, with a track record of fostering academic enhancement.
- Technical aptitude in data analysis, progress monitoring, and action planning.
- Demonstrated success in achieving excellent student outcomes through effective leadership.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of inspiring confidence and facilitating change.
- Familiarity with Teach Like a Champion is preferred.

- Lead the strategic development and execution of whole-school assessment, feedback, and reporting frameworks, ensuring alignment with curriculum objectives, high standards, and evidence-based practices.
- Use assessment strategically to guide teaching, intervention, and improvement, ensuring consistency and impact across phases and subjects.
