Victoria International School of Sharjah (VISS) is excited to celebrate its 19th year in operation as of August 2026. Since the original VISS campus opened in September 2007 in Al Taawun with under 200 students, VISS has flourished into a prominent educational institution. Today, it encompasses 2 IB World Schools and 3 Regional Schools, delivering the Australian (Victorian) Curriculum from KG through Grade 12, including the IB Diploma Programme. Currently, VISS serves over 5,000 students across five campuses.

We are on the lookout for a skilled and passionate School Counsellor to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the social, emotional, and psychological wellbeing of students, ensuring their full engagement and access to learning.

Key Responsibilities
•
Provide exceptional teaching and learning in accordance with the curriculum
•
Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning atmosphere, prioritizing student wellbeing and safeguarding
•
Assess and monitor student progress while delivering constructive feedback
•
Establish positive relationships with parents and colleagues
•
Participate in school initiatives and contribute to ongoing improvement
Qualifications & Experience
•
Master’s degree in Counselling, Psychology, or a related discipline
•
Proficiency in both Arabic and English
•
Experience in a school counselling environment
•
In-depth understanding of safeguarding practices and student wellbeing
•
Previous experience in the Middle East is preferred
