THE ACADEMY

GEMS World Academy–Dubai (GWA) is a private, co-educational International Baccalaureate (IB) World School serving students from PreK to Grade 12. Established in 2008 and part of GEMS Education, GWA is authorized to offer the PYP, MYP, DP, and CP programs, and holds accreditation from the Council of International Schools and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).

THE ROLE

Our Inclusion department has significantly improved student outcomes and fostered a passion for learning at GEMS World Academy. The Inclusion department enjoys a strong reputation among students for providing personalized support and care.

We invite applications from enthusiastic Director of Inclusion candidates who share our values and commitment to fostering a love of learning at GEMS World Academy.

SKILLS

The ideal applicant will possess extensive experience with the IBDP and a demonstrated history of varied and successful teaching. A genuine alignment with the IB philosophy and the values expressed in the Learner Profile is crucial, along with a passion for engaging with our diverse community. Additionally, we are looking for a candidate with:


A recognized professional teaching qualification at the degree level, such as B. Ed, PGCE, PGDE, or an equivalent specialization in working with students with special abilities.


At least 3 years of varied and demonstrable experience in the inclusion field at both Primary and Secondary levels, preferably in an IB curriculum institution, though this is not essential.


Availability starting in August 2026.


The experience, personality, and educational vision to propel the educational agenda at this leading GEMS World school with an international student demographic.


A commitment to delivering exceptional teaching and learning experiences.

NEXT STEPS

Candidates who are shortlisted will be contacted for an initial screening call, followed by interviews in early 2026 (available both in-person and virtually) for positions beginning in August 2026. Please note that interviews are by invitation only.

We will also be visiting the UK in April to conduct in-person interviews.

GEMS Education is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students and staff. A UK-enhanced DBS or equivalent police check is a prerequisite for all appointments.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
