About This Role

We are seeking a flexible, creative, and passionate educator to inspire the bright and curious young minds at our bilingual secondary school. The ideal candidate will be a highly qualified teacher of English and Geography, holding a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education and, preferably, a teaching certificate (QTS) in Secondary Education. The curriculum will align with the objectives of the German state curriculum for Lower Saxony, with lessons delivered in English. Candidates with a few years of experience teaching English will have a distinct advantage. Alongside teaching English and Geography in our Secondary school, the successful applicant will also assist as a teaching assistant in our new Primary school. The initial contract will be fixed-term for two years, with the possibility of extension to a permanent position subject to mutual agreement.

· can inspire our motivated students to achieve exceptional progress in alignment with our academically rigorous curriculum;

· demonstrates excellent classroom practices in lesson planning and teaching (including differentiation);

· is dedicated to contributing to curriculum planning and innovation within our expanding school;

· can effectively monitor, assess, document, and report on student progress;

· collaborates well both independently and as part of teaching teams;

· exhibits strong IT skills, including familiarity with digital boards and iPad technology;

· is committed to participating in extracurricular activities;

· possesses strong interpersonal skills and a good sense of humor;

· is hardworking and committed to their role.
