About This Role
Aldar Education is currently in search of an exceptional Teacher of ICT (Primary) for Yasmina British Academy in Abu Dhabi, set to begin in the academic year 2026-2027.

Responsibilities:
• Aid the academy in realizing its overarching vision and strategic goals while contributing to the targets outlined in the improvement plan and self-evaluation form.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and comply with academy policies regarding safe working practices and equal opportunities.
• Follow the academy's Performance Management Policy by setting ambitious annual targets and, if directed by the Principal, serving as a performance management reviewer.
• Participate in annual training related to child protection, safeguarding, and health and safety, along with any training deemed essential for academy improvement or performance management.
• Attend all staff meetings and briefings.
• Foster an environment conducive to outstanding Teaching and Learning.
• Define clear teaching objectives and outline methods for teaching and assessment.
• Create engaging tasks that challenge students and maintain high levels of interest.
• Establish clear targets that build on students' prior knowledge.
• Identify students with special educational needs or those who are exceptionally gifted.
• Provide structured lessons that maintain pace, motivation, and rigor.
• Utilize assessment effectively to ensure comprehensive coverage of the curriculum.
• Leverage performance data and key indicators to inform planning, allowing for tailored learning that meets diverse needs.
• Ensure effective teaching practices and optimal use of available instructional time.
• Maintain an effective learning environment consistent with the academy's procedures, promoting punctuality, behavior, work standards, and homework completion.
• Employ various teaching methods to:
• Align approach with content, organize information, present key concepts, and utilize appropriate vocabulary.
• Utilize effective questioning, listen attentively to students, and address errors and misconceptions.
• Select suitable learning resources and foster study skills through library, ICT, and other learning technologies.
• Ensure students acquire and reinforce knowledge, skills, and understanding relevant to the subject taught.
• Critically evaluate one's teaching to enhance effectiveness.
• Assess and track students' progress systematically, maintaining records to monitor understanding and completion, and identifying strengths and areas needing improvement.
• Carry out assessments as required by examination bodies, departmental, and academy guidelines.
• Prepare and deliver informative reports to parents.
• Engage in subject-specific initiatives or other aspects of the academy's operations, creating plans that establish clear targets and success criteria for development and maintenance.
• Support the broader vision of the academy through collaborative activities.
• Strive to provide every child with the opportunity to achieve their potential and meet high expectations.
• Collaborate with fellow staff to ensure effective resource sharing for the benefit of the academy, department, and students.
• Contribute to the overall life of the academy through active participation in meetings and management systems essential for effective leadership and management.
• Engage in marketing and community outreach activities such as Open Evenings/Afternoons, Parent-Teacher Consultations, and events with partner academies.
Minimum Qualifications
• A Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant field, accompanied by a teaching qualification.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in teaching a specialized subject.
