About This Role

Responsibilities include planning for exceptional teaching and learning in accordance with the school's Teaching and Learning Policy by:

• Fostering a learning environment that promotes outstanding educational practices;
• Establishing clear teaching and learning objectives;
• Setting defined targets that build on previous achievements;
• Identifying students with SEN (POD), EAL, and G&T needs, ensuring appropriate differentiation;
• Structuring and planning lessons and activities that maintain engagement and challenge;
• Utilizing assessment for learning effectively;
• Leveraging performance data and key indicators to guide lesson planning and differentiation;
• Employing ICT to enhance student learning and progress;
• Upholding discipline in line with the school's 'Behaviour for Learning Policy' and promoting positive practices regarding punctuality, behavior, work standards, and homework;
• Evaluating the achievement of learning objectives and using this information to refine teaching and learning methods;
• Grading student work bi-weekly and setting progress targets according to the school's Marking Policy;
• Systematically assessing and documenting student progress, using performance data to guide planning and learning;
• Conducting assessments as requested by examination boards and school procedures;
• Preparing and presenting insightful reports to parents;
• Participating in and supporting events for parents and students;
• Engaging in subject development by creating, reviewing, and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work;
• Collaborating with other professionals, such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists, as needed;
• Performing any additional duties as assigned by the Senior Leadership Team.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification

Minimum Experience:

• Experience teaching the English National Curriculum
• Preferred experience in EYFS

Job Specific Knowledge & Skills:

• Proven success in teaching across various age groups and abilities
• Familiarity with the UK National Curriculum
• Strong interpersonal skills
• A commitment to the school's Vision and Mission Statement
• A passion for education, teaching, and a belief in every student’s potential
• Ability to work under pressure, solve problems, and demonstrate resilience
• Commitment to ongoing professional development (CPD)
• Experience in multiple International Schools is desirable

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
