About This Role
Aldar Education is currently in search of an exceptional Teacher of Art to join Mamoura British Academy in Abu Dhabi, starting in the 2026-2027 academic year.
Mamoura British Academy offers a British curriculum, catering to mixed genders until Year 8, and transitioning to a girls-only environment from Year 9 onward. The school is housed in a state-of-the-art facility situated in the heart of Abu Dhabi. Key Responsibilities
To create and deliver stimulating lessons that inspire students to excel and achieve optimal outcomes.
Specific tasks include:
· Demonstrating excellent collaboration and teamwork abilities
· Communicating effectively at all levels
· Fostering positive relationships within the entire school community
· Collaborating with fellow educators to design engaging lessons that align with curriculum requirements
· Maintaining professional interactions with colleagues and demonstrating flexibility
· Engaging with parents to ensure the well-being and academic success of all students
· Cooperating with curriculum support staff (when applicable) to promote student development
· Serving as a form tutor and addressing the pastoral needs of students.
A. Teaching and Learning
· Possessing a solid understanding of the British curriculum
· Organizing classroom resources, learning materials, and creating displays that foster a positive and engaging learning atmosphere
· Planning, preparing, and delivering lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students in accordance with the Learning and Teaching Policy
· Inspiring pupils through enthusiastic and imaginative teaching methods
· Observing and assessing students in line with the Assessment Policy
· Reflecting on classroom provisions, lessons delivered, and student progress, making necessary adjustments to planning and curriculum
· Ensuring that the Mamoura British Academy Teacher and Learner DNA language and attributes are integrated throughout the curriculum.
B. Assessment and Data
· Taking ownership of the progress of the classes taught
· Meeting the standards for assessing and documenting students’ development using the school’s designated assessment system
· Leveraging assessment data to inform future planning, provision, and intervention strategies
· Being accountable to the Head of Department for performance data related to classes taught and formulating strategies for improvement
· Providing feedback to parents and guardians regarding students’ progress during Parent Teacher Conferences and other meetings.
C. Behavior Management and Duties
· Adhering to the Behavior Policy
· Effectively managing classes, employing strategies that cater to students’ needs to inspire, motivate, and challenge them
· Building and maintaining excellent relationships with students, exercising appropriate authority, and acting decisively when necessary according to the school’s Behavior Policy
· Serving as a positive role model, consistently demonstrating the attitudes, values, and behaviors expected of students
· Maintaining high expectations for behavior, promoting self-control and independence among all learners
· Ensuring that the Mamoura Values DNA language and attitudes are incorporated throughout the curriculum
· Carrying out assigned duties in accordance with school policy.
D. Wider Professional Responsibilities
· Collaborating as part of a departmental team to support planning, assessment, resources, and special events related to the team
· Participating in and supporting the organization of school events, outings, and activities, which may occur on weekends or in the evenings
· Effectively communicating with parents/guardians regarding students’ achievements and well-being through the school's systems/processes, such as CPOMS as appropriate
· Making a meaningful contribution to the broader life and ethos of the school
· Leading a weekly extracurricular activity each term.
Minimum Qualifications:
· A Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant Bachelor’s degree with PGCE or its equivalent.
Minimum Experience:
· At least 2 years of teaching experience within the English National Curriculum.

· Experience teaching across a diverse age and ability range with proven success
· Experience in more than one International School is desirable
· Familiarity with the UK National Curriculum
