Our personalized, play-based approach in the Early Years rigorously assesses students against the prime and specific areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, laying the groundwork for their future learning. In primary, students experience a broad and enriching curriculum that includes various non-core subjects. Senior students undertake IGCSE examinations in Year 11 and transition to either the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) or International Baccalaureate Career-Related Programme (IBCP) in Years 12 and 13.

The Post: Physics Teacher

We are on the lookout for a passionate and knowledgeable Physics teacher who can ignite a love for Physics in our students. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of Physics, excellent teaching skills at KS3, GCSE, and post-16 levels, along with a genuine enthusiasm for education. Experience with the IB Diploma is advantageous but not mandatory. As a Physics teacher at DIS, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of scientists and leaders. The successful candidate will collaborate within a large, motivated department that is dedicated to enhancing student outcomes. Our science department has achieved significant success in recent years, receiving outstanding inspection results in both progress and attainment. The new hire will be expected to build on this success and propel us towards even greater achievements.

The successful applicant will need to possess the following qualifications:

• Experience with GCSE and IB or A Level in Science/Physics
• A B.Ed. or a degree with a PGCE / PGDE or equivalent, along with exceptional subject expertise.
• A proven history of delivering outstanding learning and teaching.
• A mindset that recognizes every student has the potential for excellence, coupled with the passion and determination to help them achieve it.
• Experience that contributes to our enriched curriculum program.
