About This Role

Runnymede College, a private non-denominational British school located in Madrid, provides a British education to children of various nationalities, ranging from ages two to eighteen. The curriculum aligns with the British National Curriculum.

Established as a private institution in September 1967, the primary school opened its doors in 1987, and since 1990, the entire school has been situated in La Moraleja, in the northern part of Madrid. The school is structured into three sections: Pre-Prep (Pre Nursery to Year 3), Prep (Years 4 to 8), and Senior School (Years 9 to 13).

Runnymede College boasts high academic standards. In June 2025, 57% of students achieved A-A* at A level, surpassing the 48% of A*-A grades recorded in independent (private) schools across England this year. Additionally, 67% of our pupils earned A*-A grades at IGCSE, an outstanding achievement compared to the 48% of A*-A grades at GCSE in the English independent school sector.

Among the graduating class of 2025, 83% of students heading to the UK will enroll in Top 10 universities, as ranked by the Sunday Times Good University Guide. Notable UK institutions welcoming this year's graduates include Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, UCL, and LSE. Students pursuing higher education in the US have already embarked on their journeys at prestigious colleges such as Harvard, Columbia, UPenn, and Brown, among others.

Several students will remain in Spain, attending renowned institutions like ICADE, IE, and ICAI, while others will pursue studies at leading universities in France and Ireland.
