ROLE SUMMARY:

King’s College School, Latvia, a proud member of the esteemed Inspired Education Group, is on the lookout for an outstanding Mathematics Teacher for the upcoming academic year. This role presents a thrilling opportunity to provide exceptional instruction at the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) level, while also playing a key role in curriculum development and fostering innovation within the Mathematics Department. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Provide engaging and high-quality Mathematics instruction at the IB Diploma Programme level, ensuring students reach their academic potential.


Cultivate mathematical reasoning, problem-solving skills, and critical thinking through innovative teaching and learning approaches.


Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, delivering timely feedback and targeted support as needed.


Play a role in curriculum development and the continual enhancement of educational resources, schemes of work, and assessment practices.


Encourage student involvement in extracurricular activities, such as mathematics clubs, competitions, and STEM initiatives.


Collaborate with colleagues across different departments to promote interdisciplinary learning experiences.


Employ digital tools and platforms to enrich the teaching and learning process.


Engage with the broader school community by participating in events, workshops, and initiatives aimed at parent engagement.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:


A degree in Mathematics or a closely related field, along with a recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).


Demonstrable experience teaching Mathematics at the IB Diploma Programme level, coupled with a history of excellent student achievements.


Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring students to understand and appreciate mathematical concepts.


A dedication to fostering critical thinking, global awareness, and intellectual curiosity.


Comfort in utilizing technology in lessons to create interactive and engaging learning experiences.


A collaborative mindset, with a desire to contribute to the school’s culture of innovation and academic excellence.

Compensation
