Position Overview:
Specialisation in Psychology:
• Develop and implement engaging lessons that align with the IB curriculum, promoting critical thinking and analysis.
• Evaluate student comprehension using a variety of assessment methods, such as projects and reflective assignments.
• Foster discussions that enhance understanding of psychological concepts, integrating contemporary research and case studies.
• Conduct workshops on mental health topics to support student well-being.
Specialisation in Humanities:
• Create interactive lessons that examine cultural, social, and ethical issues.
• Employ diverse assessment methods to measure progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Facilitate collaborative projects that connect students with real-world issues, utilizing interdisciplinary approaches.
• Arrange field trips or guest speaker sessions to enrich learning experiences.
Specialisation in History:
• Craft engaging lessons centered on inquiry-based learning within the IB framework.
• Assess student learning through essays and presentations, encouraging critical analysis of historical events.
• Utilize primary sources to enhance understanding and stimulate historical debates that challenge student perspectives.
Specialisation in Geography:
• Design captivating lessons focused on physical, human, and environmental processes.
• Implement a range of assessment strategies to gauge understanding and application of geographical concepts.
• Promote data analysis skills for effective interpretation of geographical information while encouraging fieldwork that connects theory to real-world geography.
Specialisation in Business & Economics:
• Develop dynamic lessons that emphasize real-world applications and case studies.
• Assess student progress through reports and presentations, fostering critical thinking and ethical considerations.
• Incorporate simulations and role-playing activities for practical business decision-making, keeping abreast of global economic trends for relevance.
General Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a Bachelor’s degree in any subject with a Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma in Education (PGCE/PGDE).
• Familiarity with the MYP and the essential elements of the curriculum frameworks is beneficial.
• Newly qualified teachers or those with teaching experience in a recognized educational institution.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The iPGCE (assessment only) does not qualify for Teacher Registration status from the Hong Kong Education Bureau, which is essential for teaching at an ESF school.
