Aldar Education is on the lookout for an exceptional Social Studies Teacher to start immediately. This position is located at ADNOC School in Madinat Zayed, within the Western Region of Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Responsibilities:
- Foster a learning environment that promotes outstanding educational practices
- Establish clear teaching and learning objectives
- Design engaging tasks that challenge students and stimulate interest
- Set high and appropriate expectations
- Develop clear targets that build on previous achievements
- Identify students with special educational needs or exceptional abilities, ensuring their requirements are met through tailored differentiation
- Provide structured lessons that maintain momentum, motivation, and challenge
- Utilize assessment effectively to enhance learning
- Analyze performance data and key indicators to guide lesson planning and ensure differentiated instruction
- Uphold discipline in line with the school’s ‘Behaviour for Learning Policy’ while promoting punctuality, behavior, work standards, and homework completion
- Evaluate the achievement of learning objectives and use assessments to refine teaching methods
- Grade student work at least bi-weekly and establish progress targets
- Use performance data for planning to ensure that learning and teaching consistently ‘add value’
- Systematically assess and document student progress, keeping records to monitor comprehension, strengths, and areas for improvement, guiding planning and recognizing achievement levels
- Conduct assessments as required by examination bodies, departmental, and school protocols
- Prepare and deliver informative reports to parents
- Engage in subject development by creating, reviewing, and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work
- Stay current in subject knowledge through continuing professional development (CPD) and professional reading
- Attend relevant professional development workshops
- Assume additional responsibilities as assigned by the Principal or Vice Principal.
You must be a fully qualified teacher with:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Social Studies or History, along with a teaching qualification
- At least two years of postgraduate teaching experience
- A strong passion for teaching and a commitment to holistic education
- Recent and consistent participation in extracurricular activities
- Respect for every member of the school community
- Experience with students for whom English is a second language
- A positive and solution-oriented attitude towards work
- A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services or Police check
- Preferably available locally.
