About This Role
Socrates Educa International School, located in Salou, just south of Barcelona, is designed to accommodate up to 800 students and is committed to delivering an inclusive and well-rounded education for children aged 1 to 18+. As the first school to implement the Socrates Educa model, it introduces a progressive educational philosophy that is anticipated to be adopted by more schools in the future.
Our dynamic trilingual institution, offering instruction in English, Spanish, and Catalan, provides a comprehensive array of educational programs, including Pre-school, Primary, Secondary, the National and International Baccalaureate (IB), and the US High School Dual Diploma, all with a prominent international perspective. We also offer Chinese as a foreign language. We are currently on the lookout for a Secondary Maths teacher with experience in both national and International Baccalaureate programs for the upcoming academic year beginning in September 2026.
Key Requirements for all applicants:
- Proficiency in English, with the capability to teach entirely in authentic English.
- A passion for Maths and the ability to motivate students of varying abilities in the classroom, with knowledge of the IB framework.
- Strong ICT skills (experience with Mac/iPad and educational applications).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Education / PGCE / Secondary QTS (BEd / SCITT / School Direct / Teach First) or equivalent.
Desirable:
- Experience as a Secondary teacher for IB and Bachillerato / ESO, ages 12-18.
- IB trained or willing to undertake IB training.
Highly beneficial:
- Experience with UCAS / D of E.
- Familiarity with the Spanish ESO / Bachillerato curriculum.
- Proficiency in Spanish and Catalan.
