Responsibilities include:

- Fostering a positive learning environment that promotes outstanding educational practices.
- Establishing clear teaching and learning objectives.
- Designing tasks that engage students and maintain high levels of interest.

- Upholding discipline in accordance with the school’s 'Behaviour for Learning Policy' while promoting good practices related to punctuality, conduct, work standards, and homework.
- Implementing diverse teaching strategies to:
i. Tailor the approach to content, organize information, highlight key ideas, and use appropriate vocabulary.
ii. Utilize effective questioning techniques, actively listen to students, and address errors and misconceptions.
iii. Select suitable learning resources and foster study skills through the library, ICT, and other educational technologies.
- Evaluating the achievement of learning objectives and using this information to refine specific areas of teaching.
- Grading students' work at least biweekly and setting progress targets.
- Using performance data to guide lesson planning, ensuring that teaching continues to add value.
- Systematically assessing and documenting student progress while maintaining records to monitor understanding, strengths, and growth areas, informing planning and recognizing achievement levels.
- Conducting assessments as required by examination bodies, departmental, and school protocols.
- Preparing and delivering informative reports to parents.
- Contributing to subject development through the creation, review, and updating of curriculum plans and schemes of work.
- Keeping subject knowledge current through continuous professional development and professional reading.
- Participating in relevant professional development workshops.
- Taking on additional responsibilities as assigned by the Principal or Vice Principal as necessary.
- Delivering lessons that inspire students to excel and attain the best possible outcomes.

Requirements include:

- A passion for education and a nurturing approach.
- A Bachelor’s degree in education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field along with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification, with a minimum of two years of relevant teaching experience.
- Familiarity with the American curriculum.
- A commitment to a comprehensive enrichment program.
- Recent and consistent engagement in extracurricular activities.
- Respect for all members of the school community.
- Experience working with students for whom English is an additional language.
- A positive, solution-oriented mindset towards professional life.
- A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police clearance.
