Mathematics Teacher

Avenor College is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Teacher of Mathematics to join our team, teaching Mathematics from Key Stage 3 through to A Level. We invite applications from qualified Mathematics educators who are eager to work with students in KS3-5. Early Career Teachers are encouraged to apply and complete the ECT programme with us.

Our newly constructed Senior building is equipped with fully resourced classrooms. The college promotes diverse opportunities for both personal and professional growth, providing a framework that empowers teachers with voice, choice, and agency.

At the A Level, students engage with the CAIE 9709 curriculum, following their studies of the CAIE 0580 Mathematics syllabus. Our Key Stage 3 curriculum includes a specialized Romanian national strand for a small number of students, while the majority prepare for the Cambridge checkpoint, undertaking external examinations at the conclusion of Grade 8. The outcomes, along with other performance metrics, reflect the successful execution of our Mathematics learning programme.

- Possess comprehensive and adaptable subject knowledge to design and facilitate Mathematics learning in Middle School, IGCSE, and A Level.

- Participate in curriculum development by revising schemes of work and collaborating with colleagues from various subjects to ensure cohesive curriculum delivery.
- Demonstrate fluency in English.
