About This Role
Azerbaijan British College (ABC) is a renowned independent, secular, coeducational, not-for-profit British international school for students aged 3 to 18, situated in the picturesque capital city of Baku, along the Caspian Sea. ABC serves as a flagship institution, delivering the British National Curriculum to both local and expatriate students. The school holds accreditation from the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan and is fully recognized by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the Council of British International Schools (COBIS). We are authorized to provide qualifications through two prominent International Examination Boards, Cambridge International Assessment and Edexcel Pearson.
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 English Teacher to join our faculty in the forthcoming academic year. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in establishing a supportive educational environment that enables our students to reach their full potential.
REQUIREMENTS
- Native-level English proficiency.
- In-depth understanding of the curriculum.
- Strong knowledge of the subject area.
- A proactive work attitude and a robust work ethic.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Effective communication abilities with parents and students.
- A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience along with a recognized teaching qualification.
- Capability to foster and maintain positive relationships with colleagues.
- PGCE or a validated teaching qualification/license.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) / Licensed Teacher is essential.
PREFERRED
- Experience with the Cambridge Primary Curriculum or other UK curriculums.
- A Master's degree in Teaching or Education.
- At least two years of pertinent international teaching experience.
- Familiarity with COIS and COBIS accreditation.
- Proficiency in ICT.
