ABC Private School in Abu Dhabi is a well-regarded and in-demand ENC School. We are seeking EYFS teachers to join our expanding team for the upcoming academic year, as we are launching FS1 classes for the first time and increasing the number of classes in our FS2/Reception section in response to high demand.
For the 2024/25 academic year, there will be a total of 11 classes in the FS Section. Our well-equipped institution features exceptional facilities catering to approximately 2,500 students from FS1 to Y13, representing over 16 nationalities in the next academic year.
Since relocating to our current premises in Al Shamkha, Abu Dhabi in 2016, ABC has been dedicated to continuous investment and improvement, with aspirations to achieve BSO accreditation within the next twelve months, which will allow us to offer ECT Statutory Induction in the future.
The Principal, Mrs. Allison McDonald, recently joined ABC from Al Basma British School, where she successfully elevated the school’s rating from satisfactory to very good during her nine-year tenure. A recognized educational leader in the UAE, she emphasizes a holistic approach, aiming to nurture each student's abilities, spark their curiosity, and instill a love for learning. Mrs. McDonald fully supports ABC's dedication to fostering inclusivity and creating a nurturing environment that empowers students to explore, innovate, and thrive.
ABC adheres to the 2014 National Curriculum of England and the revised 2020 Development Matters Framework in EYFS. The school employs GL CAT4 and GL Progress tests for students in Years 4 to 10. Furthermore, we provide a variety of GCSE, iGCSE, iAS, and iA Levels through Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel exam boards for our older learners. Starting September 2024, we plan to introduce an array of BTEC qualifications to better tailor educational pathways for our students.
Most recently, in February 2022, the school received a "good" rating in the ADEK inspection.

• An internationally recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Education with a focus on Primary or Early Years education and QTS or equivalent.

• An internationally recognized Bachelor’s Degree in any field along with an internationally recognized teaching qualification such as PGCE or PGDE in Primary or Early Years education and QTS or equivalent.

• An internationally recognized Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant area of Early Childhood Education with QTS or equivalent.

Our compensation package for overseas UK qualified appointments includes:
