About This Role
Established in 2005, Gulf British Academy is an accredited BSO institution aiming to enhance its offerings for Early Years Foundation Stage students. Currently, the school serves learners from Pre-KG through Year 11.
With plans to introduce an additional year level annually until we evolve into a comprehensive 3-18 British International School, our recent transition to a purpose-built, state-of-the-art facility exemplifies the aspirations of our owners and leadership team to achieve excellence.
We are in search of a qualified and experienced Teacher of English to join our dedicated team of Specialist Subject Teachers. Candidates must be fluent English-speaking graduates who possess a UK Department for Education teacher reference number or equivalent non-UK qualifications, or those in their final year of training.

What you bring:
You are well-versed in Key Stage 3 and IGCSE English. As a teacher, you reflect on and adapt your practice to deliver high-quality lessons, thereby enhancing student achievement, fostering confidence, and promoting independent learning.
Essential qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in English or a related field, along with a recognized teaching qualification such as B.Ed., PGCE, PGDE, or an equivalent.
- Extensive subject knowledge demonstrated through your experience and enthusiasm for teaching English.
- Proven teaching experience in the UK or internationally within a British curriculum-based, BSO-accredited institution.
- A commitment to safeguarding all students and ensuring equal opportunities for all staff and students.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to inspire and cultivate positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and/or police check.
Desirable attributes:
- Experience with IGCSE Edexcel
- Background in IGCSE English as a Second Language
- Google Workspace for Education certification
- Familiarity with student management information systems (e.g., iSAMs, SIMS)
- Knowledge of educational initiatives such as Rosenshine and Growth Mindset.
