The Constance Lake Education Authority Board is seeking applications for the role of Elementary Grade 4 Teacher at Mamawmatawa Holistic Education Centre. Salary
Starting at $54,343.00 - $64,628.00 (Category A1-A4/Step 0), based on QECO rating and experience.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or equivalent, with certification from the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) or an appropriate provincial/territorial certification.
- Familiarity with the provincial curriculum and Indigenous curriculum resources (such as The Ontario FNMI Curriculum, First Nations Holistic Learning Model, etc.).
- Completion of Special Education Part 1, 2, and 3.
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Certification.
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- A Criminal Records Check in compliance with CLEA Policy.
- Proficiency in Cree-Ojibway or Oji-Cree is an asset.
- Agreement to participate in pre-employment screening, including drug and alcohol testing, as required by CLEA Policy.
- A vibrant, student-centered educator who brings enthusiasm and creativity to their teaching.
- A strong commitment to culturally relevant and responsive educational practices.
- Understanding of the unique strengths and challenges encountered by Indigenous learners.
- Willingness to participate in community events and school projects beyond classroom responsibilities.
- A Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening is essential.
