About This Role

Big River First Nation Education is on the lookout for an ELA Catalyst to become part of the education team for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a welcoming and positive learning atmosphere for students
- Facilitate professional growth opportunities for teachers
- Coordinate and support the creation and execution of educational programs
- Assist students in lesson planning, co-teaching, and mentoring
- Implement a robust literacy program utilizing effective methods for teaching reading and writing
- Adjust lesson plans throughout the year as needed
- Monitor and assess student progress

Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills and effective scheduling capabilities
- A Bachelor of Education degree along with a Saskatchewan Professional A teaching certificate
- Capacity to teach students with diverse learning needs
- Familiarity with the Saskatchewan Curriculum
- Cross-cultural experience is considered an asset
- A valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Ability to provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract and complete a Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check
- Verification of prior teaching experience (if applicable) is required

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
