Mistahi Sipiy Elementary School, situated in Big River First Nation, is in search of a dynamic and enthusiastic Kindergarten Teacher to become part of their team for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Design and execute lesson plans that encompass a variety of subjects for students.
• Assess and grade student performance, ensuring comprehension of the material.
• Engage in communication and meetings with students and parents to address educational matters.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and secure learning environment that promotes education.
• Create lesson plans and instructional strategies aligned with school standards.
• Administer assessments to gauge student progress and pinpoint areas for improvement.
• Establish an engaging learning atmosphere that caters to the unique needs of each student.
• Develop and implement lesson plans and instructional resources by organizing diverse activities such as quizzes, competitions, and group discussions.
• Oversee and manage classroom behavior and activities effectively.

Requirements:
• Strong scheduling capabilities.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• A Bachelor of Education degree and a Saskatchewan Professional A teaching certificate.
• Effective classroom management techniques.
• Ability to instruct students with varying levels of ability.
• Familiarity with the Saskatchewan Curriculum.
• Cross-Cultural experience is considered an asset.
• A valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
• Must provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract and undergo a Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Verification of previous teaching experience is required, if applicable.
