Your Responsibilities

As the Lower School Classroom Teacher (Upper Primary), you will:

● Collaboratively design and lead inquiry-based, concept-driven, and project-based learning experiences in line with the IB PYP framework

● Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom atmosphere where every student feels a sense of belonging

● Communicate effectively with families to enhance learning partnerships

● Encourage learner agency, voice, and ownership of their educational journey

● Strategically utilize assessment and feedback to support learners' progress and development

● Cultivate strong, respectful relationships with students to promote their wellbeing

● Work together with colleagues to create interdisciplinary, concept-based, and innovative learning opportunities

● Actively engage in a reflective, collaborative professional culture

● Utilize a Learning Management System to organize course materials, facilitate collaboration, and stimulate student engagement

● Contribute to the wellbeing and pastoral care of the school community

● Establish a positive and inclusive classroom culture where every learner feels appreciated and supported

● Participate in the vibrant school community through events such as parent evenings and extracurricular activities

● Pursue personal professional growth and introduce fresh ideas into the classroom

● Employ AI effectively to guide learners with a human-centered approach, encourage ethical principles and responsible use, and equip them with the knowledge and skills to integrate AI into their education.

Profile: (qualifications, experience, skills, and aptitudes required for the position)

● Exhibits a strong commitment to inquiry-based, concept-driven, and project-based learning

● Possesses at least two years of recent, successful experience teaching Upper Primary students (ages 8 to 10) within the PYP framework

● Designs engaging and meaningful learning experiences based on IB philosophy

● Creates inclusive and adaptive learning environments that cater to the needs of diverse learners through thoughtful differentiation

● Actively fosters student agency, voice, and ownership of their education

● Uses assessment and feedback intentionally to inform instruction and support student growth

● Builds positive and respectful relationships that enhance student wellbeing and foster a strong sense of belonging

● Collaborates with colleagues, actively contributing to a reflective, forward-thinking professional culture and supporting continuous improvement throughout the school

● Takes initiative in professional practice, bringing creativity, energy, and a solutions-oriented mindset to drive innovation and positive change

● Integrates technology purposefully to enhance and extend student learning

● Demonstrates proficiency in AI, including understanding core principles, exploring applications, guiding effective use, evaluating outputs, and promoting responsible practices

● Holds a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field (Master's degree preferred)

● Possesses a valid teaching qualification or certification

● Demonstrates near-native fluency in English

● Experience in an international school setting is considered advantageous

Compensation
