Aldar Academies is on the lookout for an exceptional Teacher - Primary - (KS2 Maths & Science) to join Mamoura British Academy in Abu Dhabi, starting in August 2026.

Mamoura British Academy offers a British curriculum, serving mixed-gender students until Year 8, and transitioning to a girls-only environment from Year 9 onwards. The school is housed in a modern facility located in the heart of Abu Dhabi. Key Responsibilities

Teaching and Learning:
- Possess a solid understanding of the curriculum.
- Organize classroom resources and learning materials, creating displays that promote an engaging learning atmosphere.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that cater to various ability levels within the classroom.
- Inspire students with enthusiastic and imaginative teaching methods.
- Observe and assess students in accordance with school assessment protocols.
- Reflect on classroom practices, progress, and adapt the learning environment and planning accordingly.
- Engage with other professionals, such as speech and language therapists and educational psychologists, when required.
- Ensure the Al Mamoura Academy Teacher and Learner DNA principles are integrated throughout the curriculum.

Assessment and Data Management:
- Take accountability for the academic progress of your class.
- Adhere to assessment and recording requirements for student development via Target Tracker.
- Utilize assessment data to inform future planning, provision, and intervention strategies.
- Provide updates to parents and guardians regarding student progress during Parent Teacher Conferences and other meetings.

Behavior Management and Duties:
- Implement the school's behavior policy consistently.
- Manage classes effectively, utilizing approaches that meet students' needs to inspire, motivate, and challenge them.
- Cultivate positive relationships with students, exercising appropriate authority and decisiveness when necessary within the school's behavioral framework.
- Serve as a positive role model, exemplifying the attitudes, values, and behaviors expected of students.
- Maintain high expectations for behavior, promoting self-discipline and independence among all learners.
- Fulfill assigned duties in accordance with the school's policy.

Wider Professional Responsibilities:
- Participate in a curriculum action group, aiding in planning, assessment, resources, and coordinating special events related to the team.
- Assist in organizing and participating in school events, outings, and activities that may occur during evenings or weekends.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding students' achievements and well-being, utilizing school systems such as CPOMS as needed.
- Contribute positively to the broader life and ethos of the school.
- Lead a weekly Extra-Curricular Activity each term.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in the relevant subject along with a PGCE or another teaching qualification.

Minimum Experience:
- At least 1-2 years of teaching experience.

- Previous experience working with students for whom English is not their first language.
- A deep passion for teaching and a commitment to holistic education.

- Recent and ongoing participation in extra-curricular activities.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
