Teacher of Chemistry
About This Role
The British International School, Cairo is on the lookout for a qualified and experienced Chemistry teacher who has a background in the National Curriculum for England or similar British educational environments. The ideal applicant will be responsible for teaching Physics throughout the Senior School, covering GCSE, IB, UK A-levels, as well as General Science for Key Stage 3. Experience with IB teaching is a plus. The school boasts outstanding facilities and resources dedicated to Science instruction, and the Science Department collaborates effectively, exchanging ideas and enhancing student learning.
Skills and Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or a related discipline
- At least 3 years of teaching experience, preferably focusing on UK A-Level qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of the UK A-Level Chemistry curriculum
- Capability to plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to a variety of student needs
- Strong classroom management abilities
- Skilled in utilizing educational technology and resources for chemistry instruction
- Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and fellow educators
