About This Role
Owhiro Bay School is seeking a Year 5-6 Kaiako for a part-time, fixed-term position (FTTE up to: 0.8) starting on 20/07/2026 and ending on 25/09/2026 due to the principal's sabbatical.
The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic kaiako who loves teaching tamariki in the senior school. Your expertise in STEM and/or the arts would be amazing! We currently use Maths - No Problem and the iDeal Platform to deliver our maths and structured literacy. Experience in these tools would be helpful; however, full support will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach primary and intermediate students (Years 1–8).
- Deliver lessons in English, Health and Physical Education, Learning Languages, Mathematics and Statistics, Science, Social Sciences, Technology, Te Reo Māori, and The Arts.
- Work Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday.
Qualifications
- Certificated teacher.
- Experience in STEM and/or the arts is preferred.
