Teacher - Primary (KS2) - Muna British Academy (AY26/27)

Aldar Education is seeking an outstanding Teacher - Primary (KS2) to join Muna British Academy in Abu Dhabi, commencing in the academic year 2026–2027.

Responsibilities:

Teaching and Learning:

• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the KS2 Curriculum to implement it effectively and achieve desired learning outcomes.

• Utilize appropriate syllabi, materials, and teaching schemes.

• Organize classroom resources and create displays that foster a positive learning environment.

• Support KS2 leaders in enhancing the teaching and learning experience across the key stage.

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of all students.

• Consistently and effectively plan lessons and sequences of lessons in the long, medium, and short term to cater to individual learning requirements.

• Engage students through enjoyable and innovative lessons that challenge them and promote critical thinking.

• Conduct observations and assessments of students in accordance with school assessment standards.

• Reflect on classroom practices, teaching sessions, and student progress, making necessary adjustments to the environment, planning, and curriculum.

• Provide support for SEN (POD), EAL, and G&T students, ensuring their needs are met through customized differentiation.

• Collaborate with other specialists, such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists, as needed to address diverse learning needs.

• Facilitate Hybrid / Distance Learning / Face-to-Face lessons.

Wider Professional Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively as part of a curriculum action group, assisting with planning, assessment, resources, and special events relating to the team.

• Help organize and participate in school events, outings, and extra-curricular activities (ECAs).

• Communicate effectively with parents/carers regarding students’ achievements and well-being using appropriate school systems and processes.

• Take initiative in personal professional development to ensure high-quality teaching and successful fulfillment of roles and responsibilities.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education or a Bachelor’s degree accompanied by a requisite post-teaching qualification (PGCE or similar in Primary Education).

Minimum Experience: At least 2 years of experience teaching the England National Curriculum (ENC) in a similar capacity.

Job Specific Knowledge & Skills:

• Experience working with students for whom English is not their first language (EAL).

• Essential experience teaching the England National Curriculum in a primary setting.

• Ability to engage professionally with a diverse range of stakeholders.

• A passion for teaching and a commitment to nurturing and educating children.

• High levels of professionalism with a focus on children's well-being.

• Recent and ongoing involvement in extra-curricular activities.

• A proactive and solution-oriented work approach.

• Qualities of warmth, empathy, credibility, self-belief, integrity, drive, and a child-centered focus.

• Capability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.

• Proficiency in IT and familiarity with online technologies to support 21st-century teaching.

• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with parents in a diverse, multicultural environment.
