About This Role

The role

South Hampstead High School is looking for a well-qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of Spanish to join its thriving and popular Modern Languages Department.

You will be responsible for planning, preparing and delivering engaging and stimulating Spanish lessons to highly motivated and talented students across the school. Your teaching will draw on a range of effective strategies and resources to deepen students’ understanding of both the Spanish language and culture.

The Modern Languages Department offers a rich and ambitious programme beyond the classroom, including international visits and exchanges. Recent opportunities have included a homestay trip to Benalmadena for students in Years 9 and 10, as well as collaborative online learning with partner schools in Colombia and Ecuador. As a key member of the department, you will also share in pastoral and administrative responsibilities and play a full role in the extra-curricular life of the school.

We welcome applications from experienced teachers with a strong track record, as well as from well-qualified Early Career Teachers and graduates who demonstrate a genuine passion for the Spanish language and culture.

We will consider part-time (minimum of 3 days) and full-time applicants. Please state on your application if you are looking for part-time or full-time work.
