About This Role
Socrates Educa International School, located in Salou, just south of Barcelona, has the capacity to serve up to 800 students. This inclusive institution delivers a thorough educational experience for children aged 1 to 18+. It is the first school to implement the Socrates Educa model, an innovative educational framework anticipated to be adopted by future institutions.
Our lively and enthusiastic trilingual school offers a curriculum in English, Spanish, and Catalan, encompassing Pre-school, Primary, Secondary, National and International Baccalaureate (IB), along with the US High School Dual Diploma, all with a strong international emphasis. Additionally, Chinese is available as a foreign language. The curriculum adheres to local educational standards but is significantly enriched through the influence of a diverse teaching staff, with instruction predominantly in English.

Position
We are currently in search of a Secondary teacher with experience in both the national and International Baccalaureate programs for the upcoming academic year, set to start in September 2026.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidates will possess collaborative team spirit, innovative and creative teaching methods, proficiency in differentiating instruction, the ability to integrate technology into learning, and a passion for working in a multilingual environment. Familiarity with the Catalan and/or Spanish curriculum will be advantageous.
Applicant Requirements
- Proficiency in English, with the ability to deliver lessons entirely in authentic English.
- A passion for teaching technology, motivating students across various levels in the classroom.
- Strong ICT skills (experience with Mac/iPad and knowledge of educational applications).
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Education / PGCE / Secondary QTS (BEd / SCITT / School Direct / Teach First) or an equivalent qualification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching Secondary IB and Bachillerato / ESO for students aged 12-18.
- IB training and experience or a willingness to complete training.
Highly Beneficial Experience
- Familiarity with UCAS / D of E.
- Knowledge of the Spanish ESO / Bachillerato curriculum.
- Proficiency in Spanish and Catalan languages.
