The Arbor School is seeking an outstanding candidate to fill an exciting role within our institution. The individual selected for this position will play a crucial part in advancing the school's ecological and sustainability vision while motivating students to achieve their highest potential in their studies. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Secondary PE Lead to join our dynamic PE and Sports team.
We require a knowledgeable Secondary PE Lead who has a strong passion for physical education and a thorough understanding of the discipline. The ideal applicant will be capable of teaching students with diverse abilities and will have a proven track record of delivering remarkable student outcomes in both physical and academic spheres. To strengthen our sports program, we are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in athletics, netball, and cheerleading.

JOB SUMMARY
The successful candidate will possess expertise and experience in teaching Physical Education, a vital component of our ecological and sustainability philosophy, guiding students to develop healthy, active lifestyles while fostering resilience, teamwork, and a robust connection to the environment.
We are excited to welcome an exceptional and passionate Secondary PE Lead to our vibrant Physical Education department. The chosen candidate will be an accomplished educator capable of delivering high-quality Core Physical Education across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, as well as demonstrating strong leadership in Academic Physical Education. A significant aspect of this role involves the development and implementation of our academic PE pathways, making experience in teaching and leading GCSE, BTEC, and A Level Physical Education essential.
Additionally, the position includes key leadership responsibilities within the department, such as curriculum mapping, assessment design, and long-term planning to ensure a cohesive and progressive PE curriculum from Key Stage 3 through Post-16 education.
The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded PE teacher who can contribute to a comprehensive and ambitious school sports program. While versatility in various sports is essential, particular strengths in football and basketball would be advantageous to support our competitive initiatives.

REQUIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE:
• Native-level proficiency in the English language
• A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field, along with a PGCE in Education with QTS or an equivalent qualification
• A minimum of 3 years of experience teaching physical education in the UK or at a respected British school abroad
• A proven record of outstanding teaching and the ability to create a supportive and nurturing classroom environment.
