Role Overview

In the role of Key Stage Leader, you will be part of the Primary Senior Leadership Team, overseeing teaching and learning as well as the daily operations of the school. Your responsibilities will include leading and managing a team of middle leaders, teachers, and teaching assistants, coordinating timetables, and ensuring the efficient operation of daily systems. Furthermore, the Key Stage Leader will be tasked with monitoring and tracking student progress, supporting the DSL and Pastoral Leader with student wellbeing initiatives, aiding in teachers' professional development, and contributing to the school's promotional efforts while staying informed about current educational research.

Candidate Requirements

We are looking for candidates who are energetic, highly motivated, and deeply committed to child welfare and education. You should have a strong dedication to maintaining high standards and creating a stimulating, positive, and child-centered learning environment. For the right candidate, there may be prospects for advancement to a more senior role.

Applicants for this position should:

  • hold a PGCE, BEd, QTS, or an equivalent qualification;
  • ideally possess a minimum of 7 years of teaching experience, including leadership positions.
  • be an organized, reliable, and enthusiastic individual capable of reviewing, monitoring, and evaluating the school in relation to the accreditation process.
  • have knowledge and experience in teaching English Language Learners.
  • be willing to engage with the broader school community by participating in extracurricular activities.
  • exhibit proficiency in using learning technologies within the classroom.
  • familiarity with the Talk for Writing model would be a plus.

Compensation
