About This Role

Uniting Our World Through Global Learning

At Participate Learning, we hold the belief that every student has the right to realize their full potential. Since 1987, we have collaborated with schools and districts in the United States to give international teachers the chance to develop new skills, forge impactful connections, and make a difference in the lives of young learners.

As a Participate Learning Ambassador teacher, you will have the opportunity to teach within the U.S. education system while sharing your cultural traditions with your new community. You will assist in organizing events to celebrate your favorite holidays and serve as a mentor and role model within your school.

In partnership with the Wake County Public School System, we are seeking innovative and dedicated professionals who are committed to the belief that every child can succeed. Dillard Drive Magnet Elementary, a part of the Wake County Public School System, strives to provide engaging and relevant education, cultivating students who are collaborative, creative, effective communicators, and critical thinkers.

Dillard Drive embodies the following values throughout the school:

- Engaging, collaborative, and equitable teaching and learning centered on student choice.
- Learning experiences that broaden the perspectives of both students and staff to foster global citizenship.
- Building diverse and meaningful relationships with students to nurture a supportive learning environment.
- Establishing inclusive and positive connections with families and community partners to encourage active participation in education.

North Carolina is celebrated for its stunning natural landscapes and lively cities. With the Blue Ridge Mountains to the west and picturesque coastal towns to the east, there are countless opportunities for exploration in the state's 41 state parks. Raleigh, the state capital and part of the “Triangle,” has recently been recognized as the #2 best place to live in the U.S. by U.S. News and World Report. Charlotte, the largest city, boasts numerous major sports teams and a variety of museums to discover.

We are on the lookout for enthusiastic Elementary school teachers who are eager to share their culture, embrace American culture, and foster mutual understanding between U.S. citizens and individuals from their home countries. All applicants must possess a Primary teaching qualification and currently teach in a Primary school environment.

International candidates are required to apply directly through Participate Learning. For over 30 years, Participate Learning has been an official BridgeUSA exchange visitor program with the U.S. Department of State, assisting more than 10,000 international educators in experiencing full-time teaching in the U.S. Participate Learning is responsible for screening, providing visa sponsorship, and offering support to participants during their stay in the United States alongside their host school. Candidates must successfully complete Participate Learning’s application process to be considered for the position.
