About This Role
Design, prepare, and deliver engaging ICT lessons that are in line with the British National Curriculum for Key Stages 2. Instruct students in digital literacy, computer science, and information technology in an enjoyable and age-appropriate manner. Introduce concepts such as coding, robotics, and multimedia tools to enhance computational thinking and problem-solving abilities. Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate ICT across the broader curriculum, ensuring technology is embedded within various subjects. Tailor instruction to cater to the diverse needs of all students. Assess, document, and report on student progress in accordance with school policy. Foster a stimulating and secure learning environment that encourages curiosity and digital innovation. Utilize both formative and summative assessments to inform teaching and provide constructive feedback. Participate in cross-curricular projects that involve ICT integration. Prepare students for relevant internal and external evaluations. Adhere to GEMS policies, procedures, and codes of conduct at all times. Maintain open communication with parents, regularly updating them on student progress while upholding the confidentiality of student information, and promoting the GEMS philosophy and core values. Demonstrate initiative and dedication beyond regular working hours when tasks require additional effort. Attend staff meetings and join committees as needed. Carry out other responsibilities as assigned by direct and dotted line managers or supervisors.
