Introducing BASIS Bilingual School Beijing
Opening in the fall of 2026, BASIS Bilingual School Beijing will bring our esteemed curriculum to the heart of China's capital. Initially, the school will serve grades Kindergarten through 9, with plans to expand to Pre-K through Grade 12, accommodating a total of 2,300 students, including boarding facilities for 800.
Situated on the north side of Anfu Street in Houshayu, Shunyi District, Beijing, BASIS Bilingual School Beijing is located in a key new urban development area, making it a hub for international education and an attractive destination for foreign educators. The area is enriched by high-quality residential and expatriate communities, fostering a vibrant cross-cultural atmosphere.
Our Primary School teachers employ a collaborative co-teaching model to enhance student engagement and learning experiences. The Subject Expert Teacher (SET) leads the delivery of stimulating, subject-specific lessons, while the Learning Enhancement Teacher (LET) focuses on individual student comprehension. Together, you will build a joyful and challenging learning environment that emphasizes hard work and promotes outstanding student outcomes.
As a Humanities Subject Expert Teacher, you will establish a strong foundation in language and social science skills. Your teaching will encompass topics such as early reading and writing, reading comprehension, the writing process, world history, American history, and geographic awareness. You will collaborate with fellow educators to create interdisciplinary lessons that integrate music, art, and other subjects.

Ideal Candidate Profile
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in your subject area (degrees in Elementary and Early Education are also highly regarded for Pre-K through Grade 5).
- Experience: At least two years as a lead teacher in a classroom, which is a requirement for obtaining a working visa.
