King’s College Riyadh is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Humanities Teacher to join our growing team for August 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering a rich, broad and balanced curriculum within a vibrant, values-driven British international school.

About King’s College Riyadh:
King’s College Riyadh is the first UK private school brand to establish a branch in Saudi Arabia, in genuine partnership with King’s College UK, which has been educating pupils in the UK and abroad for over 140 years.

Since opening in 2021, King’s has grown rapidly, expanding to Year 7 in August 2025, with plans to extend through to Year 13 (age 18), enabling pupils to complete their full King’s education in Riyadh. Unlike most international schools in the city, King’s is fully co-educational from Pre-School through Year 7.

Role Overview

The Humanities Teacher will deliver high-quality teaching and learning across the Humanities subjects, ensuring all pupils make excellent progress. You will inspire curiosity, critical thinking and a love of learning, while contributing fully to the academic, pastoral and wider life of the school.

This role requires a teacher who is committed to developing pupils academically, socially, and personally—ensuring each child achieves their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching and Learning

  • Deliver engaging, well-planned lessons that reflect the school’s curriculum, policies and high expectations.

  • Facilitate excellent progress for all pupils through effective differentiation, assessment and feedback.

  • Maintain strong behaviour management in line with school policy.

  • Use data to inform planning, target-setting and reporting.

  • Communicate effectively with parents and contribute to the academic monitoring of pupils.

School Values & Ethos

  • Model and promote the school’s vision and values across all aspects of school life.

  • Offer outstanding pastoral care and demonstrate respect for Saudi culture.

  • Participate actively in school life, co-curricular activities, and community events.

Pastoral & Co-Curricular

  • Provide excellent pastoral care and help pupils develop good habits, attitudes and confidence.

  • Supervise and support pupils during break/lunch duties.

  • Play an active role in the school’s co-curricular programme, House system and wider school events.

Professional Expectations

  • Uphold and promote the school’s vision, values and culture, including local Saudi cultural expectations.

  • Maintain high standards of professional conduct, integrity, punctuality and presentation.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to school development and CPD.

  • Ensure full compliance with all safeguarding and child protection requirements.

The successful candidate will have

  • Bachelor’s Degree /PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification /Qualified Teacher Status.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ relevant teaching experience (Essential).

  • Experience teaching the UK National Curriculum (Essential).

  • A proven ability to inspire, motivate, and engage pupils of all abilities (Essential).

  • Strong classroom management and pastoral skills (Essential).

  • Experience working with EAL learners (Desirable).

  • An understanding of the expectations of UK independent and international schools (Desirable).

Compensation

£35,000 - £55,000 (Tax-Free Equivalent)
