Teacher – ICT/Computing/Computer Science (Job Ref# B154-24-25)
Candidates must possess a degree in a technology/computing-related field, along with an internationally recognized teaching qualification such as a PGCE, Bachelor of Education, or H.Dip.Ed in ICT/Computing/Computer Science. A minimum of three years of teaching experience in one or more of these subjects at Key Stage 3, 4 (IGCSE), and 5 (A-level) is required. It is advantageous for applicants to be able to teach an additional subject. The successful applicant may also assume additional teaching responsibilities as needed by the school.
In addition to the above qualifications for the teaching role, the ideal candidate must:
- Be an excellent classroom practitioner with innovative and creative ideas, committed to achieving high academic standards.
- Have recent teaching experience in the relevant subject area and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the British National Curriculum.
- Exhibit strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and be adept at differentiating instruction to cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively while managing multiple priorities, setting and achieving appropriate goals, being solution-oriented, and contributing positively to the school environment.
- Be fully computer literate.
- Be willing to engage in and support a variety of school-related activities.
- Understand character-based learning and effectively deliver individualized learning plans for each student.
- Fully adhere to and support the Christian ethos of the school.
Experience in a multicultural international school setting is preferred.
The salary for the position ranges from CI$49,700.00 to CI$69,700.00 annually, commensurate with experience, according to the school's salary scale. Benefits include:
