School Information –

Located in the heart of Phuket Island, HeadStart achieved ‘International School’ status in 2010 and is fully accredited by The Education Development Trust. In our latest inspection, we received the International Schools Quality Mark (ISQM), with the assessors recognizing our school as a ‘Good School with Outstanding Features.’
Our curriculum follows the national educational framework of England, offering Cambridge and Pearson qualifications at the secondary level, including IGCSEs, A Levels, and BTECs.
The main campus at Chaofah accommodates 960 students and is oversubscribed in most year groups. Starting in August 2025, we will expand our Upper School site and provisions to establish 'HeadStart College' as the leading educational institution in Southern Thailand.
In August 2023, we inaugurated a new campus in the north of the island, Cherngtalay. This two-form entry Foundation, Primary, and Secondary School (KS3 only) is designed for up to 500 students and will transition to a three-form entry school in August 2025.
Head of Creative Arts –
We are seeking to appoint a passionate and motivated Head of Creative Arts to lead our dynamic team of Art & Design Technology teachers starting in August 2025.
The Head of Creative Arts will collaborate with the Director of Creative and Performing Arts to enhance and guide the Art & Design and DT programs within the school. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of exceptional teaching and a strong enthusiasm for innovative educational practices. A commitment to curriculum development is essential, alongside a thorough understanding of the English national curriculum for Art & Design across all educational phases. Experience with Cambridge and/or Pearson post-14 qualifications is required.
The successful applicant will demonstrate a successful history of leading teaching teams effectively.
We seek a highly dedicated team player filled with drive, energy, and passion, capable of inspiring students to love learning. A good sense of humor and a strong work ethic are crucial.
Requirements / Application Details –
Essential Requirements:
· Strong knowledge of the UK-based curriculum and experience teaching across all educational phases
· In-depth understanding of assessment requirements for IGCSE & A Level Art
· Proven track record of excellence
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
· A recognized teaching qualification: BEd; PGCE; iPGCE or an equivalent
· Must be a fluent English speaker
Desirable Requirements (not mandatory):
· Prior experience in an International School setting
· Experience teaching learners with English as an Additional Language
Compensation Package:
