Head of Computer Science

The Computer Science Department at St Bede's College encompasses the essential areas of Computer Science, ICT, and Online Safety. Our team is made up of three specialist educators who collaborate across the curriculum to provide a seamless learning experience for students. We pride ourselves on being innovative and cooperative, having recently updated our Key Stage 3 curriculum to align with the needs of today’s digital landscape. The Department is well-resourced, featuring two dedicated ICT suites, with the support of a dedicated on-site IT technician who ensures our technological infrastructure and software are optimized for educational purposes.

We are looking for a leader to advance the department and encourage the integration of educational technology throughout the College. The successful candidate will participate in relevant meetings and be an active member of the Middle Leadership team, contributing positively to the collaborative spirit of the College. You will set and uphold high expectations for all students, helping them to realize their full academic potential while teaching Computer Science across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. Teachers are also expected to engage in co-curricular activities, with most taking on a small group. As a form tutor, you will provide mentorship, teach PSMEE, and support the overall progress and well-being of the pupils in your group.
