About This Role

Are you a passionate and dedicated teacher with a commitment to inclusion and ensuring every child can flourish? Do you want to work in a warm, supportive village school where relationships are at the heart of everything we do? If so, we would love to hear from you.

Higham on the Hill Church of England Primary School is a small and nurturing rural primary school set in the heart of the Leicestershire countryside. As a close-knit school community, we pride ourselves on knowing every child as an individual, celebrating their achievements and supporting them to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspirational Teacher and SENCo to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about high-quality teaching and learning and committed to championing the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

The successful candidate will combine excellent classroom practice with strong leadership of SEND provision across the school. Working closely with staff, families and external agencies, you will ensure that every child receives the support they need to achieve their potential. You will lead, develop and evaluate inclusive practice across the school, helping to create a culture where all children are valued, supported and able to succeed.

As a classroom teacher, you will deliver engaging, high-quality learning experiences that inspire curiosity, build confidence and promote excellent outcomes for all pupils. You will have high expectations, a commitment to nurturing every child's individual strengths and a genuine desire to make a positive difference.

We are looking for a dedicated professional who is passionate about inclusion, understands the diverse needs of learners and can build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues. You will be an effective communicator, an organised practitioner and a team player who is eager to contribute to the wider life of our school and Trust.

In return, we offer the opportunity to work in a welcoming and friendly school community where every individual is known and valued. Our children are enthusiastic, caring and eager to learn, and our staff are committed to working collaboratively to provide the very best education and support. We offer a rich and engaging curriculum, extensive outdoor learning opportunities and strong links with our local church and village community. You will also benefit from excellent professional development opportunities and support from experienced colleagues across the Trust.

As a Church of England school, our Christian values underpin all aspects of school life. We enjoy strong links with St Peter's Church and are proud of the caring, inclusive environment we provide for our pupils, families and staff.

We warmly encourage prospective applicants to visit the school and experience first-hand what makes Higham on the Hill such a special place to learn, work and grow.

Come and join us in making a difference to the lives of children every day.
