Slated to open in the fall of 2026, BASIS Bilingual School Beijing will introduce our distinguished curriculum to the capital of China. Initially serving grades Kindergarten through 9, the school will eventually expand to accommodate students from Pre-K through 12, with a total enrollment capacity of 2,300 students and boarding facilities for 800 students.

Located on the north side of Anfu Street in Houshayu, Shunyi District, Beijing, BASIS Bilingual School Beijing is part of a significant new urban development that serves as a hub for international education. The surrounding area is enriched with high-quality residential and expatriate communities, fostering a culturally diverse environment.

Our Primary School teachers utilize a collaborative, co-teaching model that enhances student engagement and learning experiences. The Subject Expert Teacher (SET) leads the delivery of engaging, subject-focused lessons, while the Learning Enhancement Teacher (LET) ensures that every student grasps the content. Together, you will cultivate a stimulating and challenging educational environment that values hard work and results in exceptional student outcomes.

As an English Language Arts Subject Expert Teacher, you will lay a strong foundation in language and social science skills, covering areas such as the writing process, grammar, reading comprehension, and literary and rhetorical devices. You will collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary lessons that integrate subjects like drama or history.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Fostering strong relationships with each student to support a personalized and successful learning journey
  • Guiding students in their academic pursuits, personal accountability, and intellectual development

Who We’re Looking For

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in your subject area (Elementary and Early Education degrees are also highly valued for Pre-K through Grade 5).
  • Experience: A minimum of two years of experience as the lead teacher in a classroom, a requirement for obtaining a working visa.
  • Collaboration: A team-oriented individual who is passionate about sharing knowledge and learning from colleagues around the world.
