About This Role

Early Years Worker

Part time for 3 days per week to be paid at NJC Grade C, £13.47 per hour.

Required as soon as possible in September 2026, this post will involve working in the preschool. It involves creating a fun, nurturing, stimulating and safe environment for the children that meets individual’s needs; preparing and resourcing activities and provision linked to the EYFS curriculum; assessing children’s progress and determining next steps in their learning and working collaboratively with the Preschool Lead.

This is a temporary post based on pupil numbers attending and will be reviewed on a regular basis.

We are looking for someone who puts children at the heart of everything they do and wants the very best outcomes for all children in their care. You will need to be able to spot opportunities to develop learning in the moment. You will also need to show a high degree of initiative and be solution focussed. The successful candidate will have good knowledge of EYFS, an awareness of the new Framework and have excellent communication and organisational skills to work with our team.

Ideally, you will:

- Have an early years L3 valid qualification;

- Have excellent literacy and numeracy skills;

- Be able to build positive relationships with children, staff and parents;

- Have high expectations of children’s behaviour and be able to maintain consistent boundaries;

- Be willing to work as part of a team;

- Be able to use your own initiative when required;

- Have experience in a similar role

Compensation

£30,000 - £46,525 (MPS/UPS Scale)
