The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of curriculum and effective teaching methods that create outstanding learning opportunities for our students within a true Christian context.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive drama instruction to high school pupils
• Organize theatre trips and workshops to enhance students' comprehension of drama
• Collaborate with peers to produce drama performances
• Prepare students for public showcases as directed by the School
• Develop the drama curriculum in line with the School's educational framework
• This role may require teaching additional subjects, so having expertise in a second area is advantageous
• Take on other responsibilities as assigned by Senior Leadership

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field, preferably in Drama / Performing Arts, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education or an equivalent teaching qualification, which includes a minimum of 10 weeks of practicum experience
• Teacher training recognized by Alberta Education
• Preferred experience teaching Drama at the middle or high school level
• Strong command of English, both verbal and written, is essential
• While optional, please highlight any experience with IB or AP programs
• Candidates who resonate with the principles of Christian education are favored

Effective Date of Employment:

This position is set to begin in mid-August 2026. The initial contract is generally for two years, with the possibility of extension for additional two-year terms based on mutual agreement.
