About This Role
We are thrilled to present an opening for an exceptional and experienced Deputy Head of Primary to become part of our Senior Leadership Team. This role provides an opportunity for a dynamic and forward-thinking leader to make a significant impact on the future of a high-performing school.
The individual chosen for this position will serve as the Deputy to the Head of Primary and will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of learning and teaching, advancing curriculum initiatives, and supporting the professional development of staff. You will work closely with the Head of Primary, Vice Principal, and the wider leadership team to implement the school’s educational vision while ensuring that students meet the highest achievement standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Support and substitute for the Head of Primary as required
• Lead the development and implementation of outstanding teaching and learning within the Primary phase
• Drive curriculum innovation and ensure its effective execution
• Contribute to the strategic vision of the school as a vital member of the Senior Leadership Team
• Develop and promote globally relevant teaching practices aligned with the school’s vision and GEMS standards
• Observe instructional practices, assess performance, and deliver constructive feedback to improve outcomes
• Lead staff professional development initiatives that align with school improvement goals
• Establish clear learning objectives and benchmarks to enhance student success
• Ensure the uniform application of all policies, procedures, and standards
• Participate in the wider school community, including co-curricular activities and events

Person Specification
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree (required)
• Recognized teaching qualification (required)
Experience
• At least 10 years of teaching experience in esteemed institutions
• Proven experience in a Senior Leadership role
• Established history of leading change and school improvement initiatives
Skills
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Competent in utilizing ICT to enhance teaching and leadership
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and lead teams effectively
