About This Role

School Description
Awsaj Academy is a specialized institution catering to over 700 students from Pre-3 to Grade 12 who encounter diverse learning needs and challenges. While the majority of our students experience mild to moderate learning difficulties, some possess specific medical diagnoses that lead to more complex learning hurdles. As the only school of its kind in Qatar, Awsaj Academy stands out as a regional authority in education for students with disabilities.

We provide high-quality academic, social, emotional, and research-informed programs through a responsive curriculum tailored to meet individual student needs and abilities. Our multi-tiered support systems ensure that students receive essential behavioral, therapeutic, and academic interventions, equipping them for further studies, higher education, employment, and active participation in community life.

Awsaj Academy is accredited by international organizations and offers a High School diploma that aligns with American educational standards. For those students for whom the diploma pathway is not suitable, we offer a designated special needs pathway.

Instruction is delivered in English across most subjects, with Arabic, Islamic Studies, and Qatar History being taught in Arabic. Over 98% of our students are Qatari and English Language Learners, and classes are co-educational, emphasizing dual-language strategies.

Located in the vibrant and innovative Education City, Awsaj Academy features outstanding teaching and learning facilities. Our students face a diverse array of learning challenges, necessitating a dynamic, adaptable, and responsive educational environment. In grade-level classrooms, we maintain a teacher-student ratio of approximately 1:10, complemented by specialized resource bases such as Empower and Nurture, supported by teachers, instructional assistants, and interventionists.

Our holistic approach is reinforced by a robust multi-disciplinary team that includes therapists, psychologists, and specialists, alongside education counselors, a school nurse, and behavior specialists. Our dedicated Arabic and Islamic Studies team supports students across the learning spectrum.

At Awsaj Academy, we firmly believe that every child is valuable and deserves a sense of belonging. Our commitment is to never give up on a student, honoring and addressing the challenges they encounter throughout their educational journey.
