About the Role
The Assistant Principal will take on a strategic leadership role, overseeing school-wide standards and ensuring thorough evaluation, elevated expectations, and ongoing improvement. This position will be crucial in preparing the school for external accountability and regulatory inspections.
Key responsibilities include:
Strategic Leadership & Quality Assurance
- Provide strategic oversight of school-wide standards and quality assurance efforts.
- Maintain robust, triangulated evidence to facilitate accurate assessments of impact and improvement.
- Ensure the school is fully prepared for external regulatory inspections.
Performance Evaluation
- Lead the analysis of overall school performance data, including attainment, progress, teaching quality, behavior, and inclusion.
- Utilize evidence-informed evaluations to identify strengths, risks, and areas for improvement.
Assessment, Reporting & Data Systems
- Oversee performance tracking systems to ensure data integrity and alignment with established standards.
- Support effective management of assessment and examination processes to enable accurate reporting and school evaluation.
Leadership Development & Capacity Building
- Encourage and support leaders through rigorous self-evaluation and data-driven insights.
- Foster a culture of data-informed leadership while providing professional learning opportunities.
Operational Leadership & Line Management
- Line manage the Data Executive and Examinations Officer to ensure high-quality assessment and examination processes.
- Oversee examination arrangements in accordance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the broader strategic vision of the school as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
