About This Role
Aldar Education is in search of an outstanding Key Stage Leader - Upper Primary for The Pearl British Academy in Abu Dhabi, with the position commencing in the Academic Year 2026/2027.

Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute departmental policies and practices that embody the School’s vision, aims, commitment to high achievement standards, and effective teaching and learning.
- Create, oversee, and assess short, medium, and long-term development plans for the department.
- Effectively utilize data to identify students who are underperforming in the department and devise actionable plans to support their needs.
- Analyze and interpret pertinent school data to guide policy decisions and assist in drafting the department/school SEF.
- Ensure that relevant and appropriate schemes of work are developed, implemented, and routinely reviewed for all year groups and courses, including adequate provisions for SEN/POD, G&T, and EAL students.
- Ensure comprehensive curriculum coverage, continuity, and progression for all students within the department, including those with exceptional abilities and those with special educational needs.
- Set clear expectations for staff regarding achievement standards, teaching and learning quality, and student behavior.
- Assess the quality of teaching and learning within the department, identifying effective practices and areas needing enhancement, and implement necessary actions to improve teaching and learning outcomes.
- Manage team performance in accordance with the school’s performance management policy.
- Ensure the efficient and effective allocation of staff and resources.
- Maintain effective oversight of the Department's Resource and CapEx budgets.
- Utilize facilities effectively to create a stimulating teaching and learning environment, in alignment with the Learning Environment Policy.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and a PGCE or another recognized teaching qualification.
Minimum Experience:
- A minimum of 6 years of teaching experience.
- Familiarity with the UK curriculum.
