About This Role

Tes is supporting the appointment of a French Teacher  to join a school based in Norwich.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring Teacher of French to join our successful Modern Foreign Languages department.

You will play a key role fostering pupils’ intellectual curiosity and a strong appreciation of global cultures, setting high expectations and providing appropriate challenges to support every learner to reach their full potential in their French studies.

You will:

●      Ensure progress in pupils’ learning, following a bespoke curriculum in which you are free to use a range of teaching methods

●      Promote languages and cultures through our strong co-curricular offer, which includes popular trips, clubs, and inter-departmental events

●      Take part in our successful annual Languages and Cultures Week, celebrating languages learnt in school and languages spoken at home

●      Support the school’s strong commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion

French is a popular subject and each year we have a healthy cohort of A-level students, with some also studying a second language. Many of our students go on to study languages at university.

The ability to teach Spanish at Key Stage 3 or GCSE level would be an advantage.

We welcome applications from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
