Northview International School (NVIS) is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and student-focused School Counselor to become part of our expanding international team in Doha, Qatar.

The Role

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with students, families, and teachers to provide guidance, enhance student wellbeing, and assist students in making informed decisions regarding their academic journeys and future aspirations.

Key responsibilities include:


Offering individual and group counseling to aid students' academic, social, and emotional growth.


Guiding students in goal setting, study skills, and personal development.


Providing support for students in college and career planning.


Advancing student wellbeing through social-emotional learning initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience


A Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.


A Master's degree in School Counseling or a related area is preferred.


A recognized counseling qualification or certification.


Experience as a school counselor in a Middle or High school environment.


Familiarity with or training in an American curriculum framework.


A strong commitment to student wellbeing and holistic development.

Experience in an international school context is advantageous but not mandatory.
