About This Role
For August 2026, Institut Le Rosey is in search of a full-time English-speaking instructor for the IB Diploma Global Politics program.
We desire a motivated and energetic individual to teach secondary school classes, which correspond to middle and high school levels. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of the International Baccalaureate (or a comparable) diploma program and have a successful track record in teaching a middle years curriculum (such as MYP, iGCSE, or equivalent). The ability to teach middle school History is considered a significant advantage.
Our Humanities department is extensive, active, and thriving. We offer IB Diploma subjects at both Higher and Standard Level, including History (in English and French), Economics, Geography, and the Theory of Knowledge course. For the 2026 academic year, we may introduce a Standard Level Psychology course.
The selected candidate must effectively teach Global Politics in English, guiding students toward academic excellence. They should inspire student learning, facilitate both academic and personal growth, while promoting diversity and a culture of excellence. As part of a bilingual department, proficiency in French would be a valuable asset.
Le Rosey operates as a boarding school, and this position includes residential responsibilities. On-campus accommodation is provided, paired with appealing working conditions. The successful candidate will also be expected to engage actively in boarding life, contributing to the well-being and development of our students.
Required Qualifications:
· A strong first degree in a relevant subject.
· Qualified teacher status.
· Proficiency in English (both spoken and written).
· Familiarity with the IB Diploma Programme in Global Politics.
· Demonstrated teaching experience with students aged 12 to 18 years.
· Strong academic knowledge and effective teaching strategies.
